Any metal that can be drawn into a wire can be applied with the metalized process at CMC. The most commonly applied coatings are carbon steel, stainless steel, bronze, molybdenum and copper. The metalizing
process is used extensively as a maintenance tool to rebuild worn shafts,
sleeves, rings, bearing fits, rolls and other machine parts. Any part
that has been metalized using one of the designated metals or alloys can
then be finished to the original dimensions. This metalizing process is widely used for spraying zinc and aluminum for corrosion protection. |
